Solution Architect Role for MyEE SME
Role & Responsibilities (what you'll be doing)
- Producing solution designs, technical specifications, and architecture documentation to maintain, improve or create new digital systems and products
- Execute technical direction to deliver optimal solution designs for customers.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to build reusable and modern component architectures.
- Analysing the internal technology landscape, understanding system connections associated with work items and seeking opportunities for cross organisational alignment.
- Review and validate new developments and in-life products/services, ensuring seamless integration across all aspects.
- Contribute to enhancing design and delivery capabilities for end-to-end technical solutions.
- Supporting other Digital disciplines in implementing the target architecture.
- Identify, contain, and report solution risks and gaps through governance processes.
- Apply commercial insight to ensure proposed solutions align with Win Price strategies.
- Communicating and Influencing across all levels of an organisation.
- Proactively exploring new technologies and approaches that may improve our work and sharing them with the wider team.
- Understand key regulatory requirements (Ofcom, PCI, EU GDPR, Digital Economy Act, etc.) and their potential impacts on digital solutions and products.
Skills Must Have
- 5+ years demonstrable experience as a Solution Architect.
- Hands-On experience in Front-End & Back-End Technologies like reactjs, javascript, HTML, nodejs.
- Proficiency in building Mobile Apps using Flutter from ground up.
- Strong experience in developing web applications and understanding of new web technologies.
- Experience using architecture methodologies, frameworks, and modelling languages.
- Experience of solution architecture within an Agile framework.
- Familiarity with a broad range of software engineering processes, technologies, and best practices.
- Experience developing System Architecture Design Documents and Integration Flows.
- Experience in building/hosting highly available applications on any major cloud provider (AWS/GCP/Azure) based on microservice architecture.
- Experience using AUTH technologies such as OAuth2, LDAPS/SAML.
- Expertise in cloud principles, including Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), subnets, security groups, and CDN configurations.
- Knowledge and experience with serverless computing concepts and platforms, like AWS Lambda or Azure Functions.
- Effective collaboration using version control systems like Git.
- Strong documentation skills for clear communication and knowledge sharing.
- Adaptability to learn new technologies and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Excellent communication (both written and spoken), negotiation and presentation skills - you’ll work and build strong relationships with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage changing business and technical requirements in a highly dynamic environment.
- A strong background in one or more of the following would be a plus:
- Telecom Domain knowledge is a plus
- Content management systems (headed and headless)
- Identity & access management
- TOGAF Certification is a plus.
