Role Overview:
The Learning and Development (L&D) Program Head will be responsible for designing, managing, and executing company-wide learning programs. This is not a direct training role but a strategic position that focuses on curating content, managing partnerships, analyzing learning needs, and driving the overall development of L&D initiatives to meet business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and implementation of learning programs aligned with organizational objectives, focusing on both technical and behavioral skill development.
- Partner with department heads and other teams to identify learning gaps and recommend appropriate programs and initiatives.
- Source and manage external vendors and learning platforms, ensuring the content is engaging, relevant, and effective.
- Develop and use metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of L&D programs. Continuously refine programs based on feedback and data analysis.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including leadership and department heads, to ensure alignment with business goals and needs.
- Manage the L&D budget, ensuring effective utilization of resources for the development and execution of programs.
- Leverage the latest L&D technologies and platforms to deliver scalable and impactful learning experiences.
- Build and implement a Competency Development Framework for the organization
- Coaching & Mentoring employees on a need basis in soft skills & leadership.
Qualifications & Skills
- Master degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Learning and Development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or strategic program management role.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and L&D trends.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end L&D programs, from needs analysis to execution and evaluation.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and other L&D technologies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and work with senior leadership.
