Job Title: Software Test Manager
Reports to: Delivery Manager
Test managers are the senior-most Moolyan connects with customers on a day to day basis to deliver Moolya value. You visualize, articulate and solve testing problems, and make disciplined decisions based on available information. Stays abreast of industry developments to make cost-effective use of new and emerging tools and techniques. Your success is when your team succeeds. You guide your team to achieve results, provide visibility to all your stakeholders, grow yourself and your team. You will lead a group of teams or projects that consists of functional, non-functional and automation test engineers.
Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and prepare a test project when the product information is incomplete or unreliable
Estimate and negotiate for people and resources
Design and defend risk-based test strategy
Establish a productive relationship with product and tech teams
Supervise testers and be accountable for their work
An effective advocate of test-ability, testing and quality
Report risks and project status to customer
Manage customer escalations
Effective utilization of team budgets
Build & sustain team bonding
Communicate defects, risks and trends clearly to the various stakeholders
Make important decisions relating to testing within the context of the delivery environment
Ability to make decisions driven by data
Create a diversified team and guide its members to build skills
Create a professional testing craftsmanship culture
Directly reports to the Vertical Delivery Manager and receives minimal guidance.
Guidance Exercised:
Set goals for individual contributors across various experience levels and guide them to deliver results.
