Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced HR Operations professional to manage end-to-end payroll processes, statutory compliance, audits, and employee lifecycle operations. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for driving the Performance Management System through our HRMS (preferably Keka), handling full and final settlements, and resolving employee queries efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Management:
- Collect and validate monthly payroll inputs including allowances, bonuses, LOPs, and deductions.
- Process payroll end-to-end with accuracy and within deadlines.
- Prepare salary structures in alignment with labor laws and organizational compensation policies.
- Ensure timely disbursement of salaries and share payslips with employees.
Full & Final Settlements:
- Manage F&F settlements for exited employees, including leave encashments, gratuity, and other applicable components.
- Ensure all clearances and documentation are completed.
Compliance & Statutory Deductions:
- Ensure adherence to statutory compliances such as PF, ESI, PT, LWF, etc.
- Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly/annual compliance reports.
- Liaise with statutory bodies and ensure timely filings and submissions.
Income Tax & Investment Proofs:
- Validate employee income tax declarations and supporting documents.
- Guide employees on tax-saving options and ensure accurate deductions as per IT norms.
- Coordinate with finance and auditors during IT assessments.
Audits (Internal & External):
- Prepare for and support internal and external audits related to HR and payroll.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for audit trails.
Performance Management:
- Drive the performance management cycle using HRMS (preferably Keka).
- Coordinate goal-setting, mid-year and annual reviews, and appraisal discussions.
- Release hike and promotion letters through the HRMS system.
Employee Relations & Grievance Handling:
- Act as a point of contact for employee grievances related to leaves, salary, income tax, and company policies/
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure fair and timely resolution of issues.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in HR Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4-7 years of experience working in the Human Resource domain at a growth stage/mid-sized company
- Proven experience in payroll processing and HR operations.
- Strong understanding of labor laws, statutory compliance, and payroll structure.
- Proficient in HRMS platforms (Keka preferred).
- Excellent Excel skills and ability to manage large datasets.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
